["Ecology 'Long' Traces" National Ecology Day Special Exhibition 2025]
Hong Kong is a vibrant international metropolis that also boasts a very rich biodiversity and a unique rural face! In response to National Ecology Day, the Rural Conservation Office will hold a special exhibition "Ecological 'Yu' Traces" from September 9, inviting you to explore the beauty of Hong Kong's little-known natural ecology and rural culture.
Through six carefully designed interactive exhibition areas, the exhibition will take you to gain an in-depth understanding of Hong Kong's biodiversity, enjoy the intoxicating rural scenery and feel the far-reaching philosophy of "green waters and lush mountains are gold and silver".

"Butterfly Reward": Incarnate Researcher. Simulated spotted butterfly marking
Want to know how many kinds of butterflies there are in Hong Kong? Come and become an ecological researcher, simulate a marker for a spotted butterfly, observe the colorful scales through a microscope, learn about the mysteries of local species migration and conservation work, and peek into Hong Kong's rich biodiversity.
"Waterbirds Fly": VR Immersive Experiences. Bird watching in Hou Hai Bay Fish Pond
Put on VR glasses and teleport to the Hou Hai Bay fish pond to observe the lives of various precious waterbirds up close and feel the importance of Hong Kong as a paradise for migratory birds.
“A Walk in the Countryside”: An Interactive Experience. Wander the countryside
Through real-life videos and interactive installations, you can “stroll” the country paths of Gu Po and Plum Grove, savoring the historical architecture and tranquil atmosphere of the remote countryside.
"Cultural Studies": Game Exploration. Hakka culture
Challenge the cultural card game, discover the unique traditions and life wisdom of Lai Chi Wo Hakka culture, and understand the rural life where man and nature are harmonious.
"Gu Po Sit": Fantasy photo-taking. Golden reed fields
Stand among the three-dimensional golden reed fields, enjoy the unique rural scenery of Gu Po, and take beautiful photos full of autumn atmosphere!
"A shadow of the beautiful scenery": a limited souvenir. Themed selfie machine
Play the "Four-frame" selfie machine for free, choose your favorite countryside-themed photo frame, and record the beautiful moments for this eco-cultural journey.
Weekend limited special program
Saturday, September 13 14:00-15:45 "Natural Fun Gathering" performance program
Dance singer Kira Chan, Middle Ages Voice 3 top seven James Tintin, sweet cheerleader Taurus Taurus Girls, unaccompanied choir Tunatics, and trainees from Shangwu Cultural Center will be invited to perform and share their feelings about rural conservation.
Sunday, September 14th Green Art Workshop environmental workshop
There are workshops on Bonsai Sand Painting Succulents and Recycled Aprons.
