An intertemporal musical dialogue is about to unfold. The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra Youth Ensemble's 2025 concert, 'Dreaming in Time', will take the audience on a journey through time and space, witnessing young musicians narrating a story of pursuit and dreams through Chinese music.
By performing Chinese musical pieces from different eras, we will construct a musical imagination belonging to 'dreams'. From the dream-seeking departure in 'Toccata for Train', to the lyrical modernity of 'Snowy Dream', and reminiscing the epic classic 'Terracotta Warriors Fantasy', there are both traditional rhythms and brand-new compositions. Each piece of music is not only a legacy but also a distinct interpretation of the word 'dream' itself.
Amid tradition and innovation, we take music as our dream and dream as our path, leaving our unique mark in the river of time and space. We look forward to you joining us in exploring this 'dream'.
