World Oceans Day falls on June 8 every year, aiming to raise awareness of ocean conservation and the importance of cherishing ocean resources. Seizing this opportunity, Green in Tuen Mun has prepared a two-day Inexhaustible Blue Ocean Carnival to enhance public knowledge about the ocean and share tips on practicing plastic reduction and plastic-free living in daily life. Let's take a look at the activities during the two-day carnival.
The carnival boasts a rich variety of activities, including environmental workshops, 'Finding the Ox', a free second-hand market, and booth games that test your knowledge of ocean conservation. There are also fabulous prizes up for grabs! In addition, there will be a plastic-free ocean art exhibition crafted by volunteers from 'Tuen Mun Volunteer Workshop'. Everyone is invited to visit Green in Tuen Mun to appreciate the artworks and raise awareness of ocean pollution issues.
Notes:
1. Please avoid visiting Green in Tuen Mun if you have a fever or feel unwell.
2. Please follow the staff's instructions for queuing during the event.
3. Green in Tuen Mun will provide materials for the environmental workshops. On-site registration is required (first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last). Each participant must queue in person at the designated location and register in the order of the queue.
4. Queuing and registration for each workshop session will open 20 minutes before the start of the activity.
5. The free second-hand market will only distribute items and will not collect them.
