The Up:Strike Project is proud to present a portrait concert of Emmy-nominated, award-winning composer Robert Honstein. This concert marks Honstein’s debut and end of his one-week residency in Hong Kong. Celebrated for his “waves of colorful sounds” (New York Times) and “smart, appealing works” (The New Yorker), New York-based Honstein (b. 1980) is known for his diverse musical output across orchestral, chamber, vocal, and film music, seamlessly blending intricate textures with emotional resonance. This concert will feature a rich array of his works, from intimate vocal pieces to dynamic duos and trios. A highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of Yet in My Sad Heart, a percussion quartet composed for The Up:Strike Project, adding a new dimension to his ever-evolving catalog.
