【求職秘笈】寄求職信頻頻「食白果」？秒懂7大吸睛開首寫法（上）

 

　　學會了如何替C.V. （Curriculum Vitae；履歷表）換上「更精準、更出色」的動詞，讓僱主眼前一亮嗎？想撰寫求職信(Cover letter) 但無從入手？呆望電腦螢幕「攪盡腦汁」想了半天，卻只能寫出一句 “My name is xxx. I am writing to apply for the position of .……”？試問一下，求職信的頭幾句話都起不了抓人眼球的作用，對方又怎麼會有意欲耐心把整封求職信看完呢？

 

　　這幾天許多朋友和舊生都跟我提到自己最近寄求職信頻頻「食白果」的經歷，於是筆者就決定於這兩周和大家說說如何寫出抓人眼球的求職信開頭，並準備了七種求職信的開首方式。本周，我們先涵蓋當中四大方式，包括：(1) 表達對公司的熱情 （Convey enthusiasm for the company）、(2) 突出與彼方公司的關連（Highlight a mutual connection）、(3) 提出對方具新聞價錢的時事（Bring up something newsworthy）、(4) Lead with an impressive accomplishment （描述一項令人矚目成就）。

Part 1撰寫求職信(Cover letter)必學詞語/片語/短句：

Part 2求職信的開首方式：

 

1. Convey enthusiasm for the company 表達對公司的熱情

　　如果你是真的被該公司品牌所吸引，或者曾經使用過他們的產品或服務，那麼，這將會是一個很好的機會讓自己表達對公司的熱情。 記住，僱主重視真實的熱情，因為這種真心通常都可以帶動員工變得積極進取，從而有助公司更上一層樓。

 

Example: 

 

“I was excited to see that L&Y Collection LTD. is hiring an event manager skilled at increasing brand awareness （提高品牌知名度）and driving growth （推動增長）with high-traffic events （高流量活動）—especially since I’ve attended several of your company’s speaking events. With my 7 years of experience coordinating （協調）successful events in the corporate space, I believe that I am a great fit for the role （非常適合擔任該職位）.”

 

2.  Highlight a mutual connection突出與彼方公司的關連

 

如果是你以前的同事轉介你應徵這份工作的話，那麼求職信的開頭可以考慮略略提及該推薦人/轉介人。 

 

Example: 

 

“I was excited to learn of this job opportunity from my former colleague（前同事）, Megan Lai. She and I have worked closely together （一直密切合作 ）for over 6 years, most recently on a complex data analysis project （數據分析項目）at ABC company. She thought that I would be a good match for this position （很適合這個職位）on your team.”

 

3. Bring up something newsworthy提出對方具新聞價錢的時事

 

　　該公司最近曾在新聞裡出現嗎？是否正面而具新聞價錢的時事？假如是的話，你可以考慮略略帶過，表示自己一直有留意彼方，從而展示出自己的誠意。

 

（注：為避免產生不必要的誤解，請客觀描述具體的事件、重要的數據（notable statistics）或公司最近獲得的獎項（award）。此外，切忌表現得過分「擦鞋」。）

Example: 

 

“When I saw that TopCare Ltd. was featured in Mango Magazine last month for its commitment （承諾）to renewable energy（可再生能源） and reducing waste in the workplace—all while experiencing four-digit revenue growth（四位數的收入增長）—I was inspired. With my track record of reducing costs by 35% （降低成本35％） and promoting greener workplaces, I’m excited about the possibility of taking on the account executive role （擔任行政人員一職）to expand your company’s growth（擴大公司的發展） and work towards a more sustainable （可持續的）future.”

 

4. Lead with an impressive accomplishment 描述一項令人矚目成就

 

　　假若你有一項令人矚目的成就，你便可於求職信的開首簡單描述該項成就。同時，記得把過往經驗與應徵的工作建立聯繫，讓對方知道你有意善用自己的技能，在對方公司一展所長。

 

Example: 

 

“Last month alone, I doubled （翻倍；加倍）XYZ company’s Instagram followers and ran two successful Facebook ad campaigns （Facebook廣告活動）that generated $58K in revenue（收入）. I would love to bring my expertise expanding social reach to （將我的專業知識帶去）the social media manager（社交媒體經理） position at your company.
