billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.59 billion, or 15.88% of the market's
turnover. There were 813 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.86 billion and HK$2.66
billion, or 12.92% and 7.08% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.09% and 27.9% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.66 billion and HK$1.13 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.42% and 3% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 20.73% and 35.92% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.24, or 0.92%, to HK$26.2. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.026, or
0.55%, to HK$4.75. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.4, or 0.45% to HK$88.5. BYD COMPANY declined by
HK$0.9, or 0.82%, to HK$109.4.
