[ET Net News Agency, 13 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$115.34
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.54 billion, or 13.47% of the market's
turnover. There were 783 short-selling stocks. BYD COMPANY (01211) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$859.17 million and HK$731.43
million, or 5.53% and 4.71% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 25.9% and 12.13% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$707.53 million and HK$621.9 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.55% and 4% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 22.41% and 23.58% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY closed up HK$5.9, or 5.61%, to HK$111. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.26, or
0.99%, to HK$25.9. BABA-W fell HK$2, or 1.59% to HK$123.5. POP MART jumped HK$0.4, or
0.27%, to HK$151.3.
