billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$62.82 billion, or 16.87% of the market's
turnover. There were 835 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.39 billion and HK$4.35 billion, or 11.76%
and 6.92% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 24.47%
and 19.13% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$3.71 billion and HK$3.32
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.91% and 5.28% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 33.72% and 28.02% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.8, or 3.15%, to HK$26.2. BABA-W ended up HK$8, or 6.75%, to
HK$126.5. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.26, or 5.69% to HK$4.83. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$2.42, or
2.8%, to HK$89.
