[ET Net News Agency, 27 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$121.83 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.58 billion, or 17.71% of the
market's turnover. There were 799 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.31 billion and HK$2.1
billion, or 15.35% and 9.73% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 43.16% and 53.48% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.04 billion and HK$948.57 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.83% and 4.4% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.98% and 18.11% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.24, or 0.9%, to HK$26.82. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.045, or
0.9%, to HK$5.045. TENCENT rose HK$14.5, or 2.83% to HK$526.5. BABA-W jumped HK$1.5, or
1.05%, to HK$144.5.
