HK$259.28 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.31 billion, or 16.71% of the
market's turnover. There were 850 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.48 billion and HK$2.88
billion, or 8.04% and 6.65% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 45.51% and 40.45% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.5 billion and HK$1.41 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.47% and 3.25% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 10.51% and 27.54% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.4, or 1.48%, to HK$26.58. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.14,
or 2.72%, to HK$5. BABA-W fell HK$5.3, or 3.57% to HK$143. HSCEI ETF declined by HK$2.7,
or 2.91%, to HK$90.14.
