[ET Net News Agency, 25 February 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$236.77 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$41.13 billion, or 17.37% of the
market's turnover. There were 851 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.14 billion and HK$4.36
billion, or 12.49% and 10.61% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 47.96% and 25.25% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and HSBC HOLDINGS (00005) registered HK$2.04 billion and HK$1.68
billion of short sales, accounting for 4.97% and 4.08% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.75% and 27.07% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.005, or 0.1%, to HK$5.14. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.18,
or 0.67%, to HK$26.98. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.56, or 0.61% to HK$92.84. HSBC HOLDINGS jumped
HK$7.4, or 5.47%, to HK$142.7.
