[ET Net News Agency, 24 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$138.68 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.93 billion, or 15.09% of the
market's turnover. There were 828 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.69 billion and HK$1
billion, or 8.06% and 4.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 36.51% and 20.96% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$980 million and HK$846.04 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.68% and 4.04% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 32.71% and 9.7% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.145, or 2.74%, to HK$5.145. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.52, or 1.9%, to HK$26.78. MEITUAN-W fell HK$4.05, or 4.76% to HK$80.95. TENCENT
declined by HK$18.5, or 3.44%, to HK$519.5.
