[ET Net News Agency, 23 February 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$172.96 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$32.35 billion, or 18.7% of the
market's turnover. There were 848 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.06 billion and HK$1.97
billion, or 9.45% and 6.08% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.88% and 38.98% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.9 billion and HK$1.52 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.87% and 4.69% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 34.09% and 21.54% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.66, or 2.48%, to HK$27.3. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.185, or
3.62%, to HK$5.29. MEITUAN-W rose HK$4.25, or 5.26% to HK$85. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$2.5, or
2.73%, to HK$94.22.
