[ET Net News Agency, 23 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$106.45 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.27 billion, or 16.23% of the
market's turnover. There were 808 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.64 billion and HK$1.45
billion, or 9.5% and 8.4% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 25.76% and 40.83% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.35 billion and HK$823.5 million
of short sales, accounting for 7.81% and 4.77% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 37.57% and 18.16% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.6, or 2.25%, to HK$27.24. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.16, or
3.13%, to HK$5.265. MEITUAN-W rose HK$5.6, or 6.93% to HK$86.35. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$2.34,
or 2.55%, to HK$94.06.
