[ET Net News Agency, 17 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$153.17 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.21 billion, or 15.81% of the
market's turnover. There were 731 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.62 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 10.81% and 7.77% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 37.66% and 27.24% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$928.52 million and HK$910.63 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.83% and 3.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.29% and 11.7% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.17, or 2.89%, to HK$5.72. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.42,
or 1.58%, to HK$26.12. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.36, or 2.85% to HK$46.34. BABA-W declined by
HK$5.1, or 3.16%, to HK$156.1.
