[ET Net News Agency, 16 October 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$275.43 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$45.37 billion, or 16.47% of the
market's turnover. There were 758 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.36 billion and HK$2.75
billion, or 14.03% and 6.07% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 57.17% and 23.09% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$2.04 billion and HK$1.27 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.5% and 2.79% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.32% and 18.6% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.07, or 1.17%, to HK$5.89. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.78, or
3.6%, to HK$47.7. BABA-W fell HK$0.4, or 0.25% to HK$161.2. POP MART jumped HK$15.2, or
5.57%, to HK$288.2.
