HK$156.18 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.61 billion, or 16.4% of the
market's turnover. There were 725 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.94 billion and HK$1.32
billion, or 19.3% and 5.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 68.49% and 19.41% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.23 billion and HK$812.21 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.82% and 3.17% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.24% and 18.97% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.085, or 1.43%, to HK$5.875. BABA-W ended down HK$1.2, or
0.74%, to HK$160.4. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.52, or 3.07% to HK$47.96. TENCENT declined by
HK$6.5, or 1.04%, to HK$620.5.
