[ET Net News Agency, 15 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$158.6 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.49 billion, or 12.92% of the
market's turnover. There were 722 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.6 billion and HK$1.5 billion,
or 12.68% and 7.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 20.65% and 15.53% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.03 billion and HK$749.98
million of short sales, accounting for 5.04% and 3.66% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.09% and 13.98% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.28, or 1.07%, to HK$26.4. BABA-W ended up HK$4.5, or 2.89%,
to HK$160.1. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.07, or 1.21% to HK$5.875. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.9, or
0.97%, to HK$93.74.
