[ET Net News Agency, 14 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$188.76 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.58 billion, or 15.14% of the
market's turnover. There were 738 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.87 billion and HK$1.7
billion, or 6.54% and 5.94% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 12.71% and 21.47% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.5 billion and HK$1.39 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.25% and 4.88% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.48% and 26.71% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$3, or 1.85%, to HK$159.6. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.06, or 1%,
to HK$5.945. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.06, or 0.23% to HK$26.48. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$1.22, or
2.49%, to HK$50.3.
