HK$333.74 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$45.38 billion, or 13.6% of the
market's turnover. There were 757 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.78 billion and HK$3.21
billion, or 8.32% and 7.08% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 37.51% and 10.31% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.25 billion and HK$1.74 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.96% and 3.83% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 24.88% and 19.85% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.185, or 2.92%, to HK$6.15. BABA-W ended down HK$7.9, or
4.56%, to HK$165.4. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.88, or 1.93% to HK$95.6. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$1.3, or 2.44%, to HK$52.05.
