HK$267.65 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.3 billion, or 14.68% of the
market's turnover. There were 755 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.72 billion and HK$2.28
billion, or 9.46% and 5.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 34.33% and 16.17% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.87 billion and HK$1.29 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.77% and 3.28% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 9.63% and 13.8% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.055, or 0.98%, to HK$5.575. BABA-W ended down HK$0.6, or
0.45%, to HK$134.1. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.14, or 0.54% to HK$25.9. TENCENT declined by
HK$2, or 0.33%, to HK$598.5.
