[ET Net News Agency, 3 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$152.02 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.3 billion, or 12.7% of the
market's turnover. There were 723 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2 billion and HK$1.32 billion,
or 10.35% and 6.86% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 33.38% and 15.94% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$806.95 million and HK$689.2
million of short sales, accounting for 4.18% and 3.57% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 8.05% and 15.58% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.035, or 0.62%, to HK$5.595. BABA-W ended down HK$0.6, or
0.45%, to HK$134.1. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.1, or 0.38% to HK$25.94. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.7, or 1.25%, to HK$55.15.
