[ET Net News Agency, 29 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$184.07 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.95 billion, or 14.1% of the
market's turnover. There were 711 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.16 billion and HK$1.65
billion, or 16.04% and 6.36% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 48.35% and 27.24% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$930.41 million and HK$865.95
million of short sales, accounting for 3.59% and 3.34% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.49% and 13.93% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.03, or 0.54%, to HK$5.575. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$0.2, or
0.2%, to HK$101.9. BABA-W rose HK$0.8, or 0.69% to HK$116.6. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.18,
or 0.71%, to HK$25.68.
