[ET Net News Agency, 21 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$151.44
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.1 billion, or 9.31% of the market's
turnover. There were 700 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$876.91 million and HK$829.1 million, or
6.22% and 5.88% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
13.49% and 12.07% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and LI AUTO-W (02015) registered HK$601.5 million and HK$435.25
million of short sales, accounting for 4.27% and 3.09% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.43% and 30.31% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$2.1, or 1.81%, to HK$117.9. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$3.5, or 2.75%, to
HK$130.8. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.02, or 0.37% to HK$5.46. LI AUTO-W declined by HK$1.7, or
1.37%, to HK$122.8.
