[ET Net News Agency, 18 July 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$238.69
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$30.16 billion, or 12.63% of the market's
turnover. There were 728 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.59 billion and HK$1.95 billion, or
8.59% and 6.47% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
27.22% and 43.07% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.44 billion and HK$1.22 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.78% and 4.05% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 15.03% and 10.04% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.24, or 1.37%, to HK$92. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.085, or
1.59%, to HK$5.44. BABA-W rose HK$3.3, or 2.93% to HK$115.8. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.32,
or 1.28%, to HK$25.32.
