[ET Net News Agency, 17 July 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$236.41
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$26.69 billion, or 11.29% of the market's
turnover. There were 717 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.5 billion and HK$1.18
billion, or 9.37% and 4.4% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 49.81% and 9.22% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.12 billion and HK$904.87 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.21% and 3.39% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.25% and 12.76% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.025, or 0.47%, to HK$5.355. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.02,
or 0.08%, to HK$25. BABA-W fell HK$1.3, or 1.14% to HK$112.5. TENCENT jumped HK$0.5, or
0.1%, to HK$517.
