[ET Net News Agency, 17 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$128.68
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.86 billion, or 10.77% of the market's
turnover. There were 684 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.82 billion and HK$653.05 million, or
13.14% and 4.71% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
49.6% and 13.74% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$605.25 million and HK$576.9
million of short sales, accounting for 4.37% and 4.16% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 10.32% and 10.2% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.01, or 0.19%, to HK$5.34. BABA-W ended down HK$0.7, or
0.62%, to HK$113.1. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.04, or 0.16% to HK$25.02. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.85, or 1.48%, to HK$56.45.
