[ET Net News Agency, 15 July 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$288.4
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$35.04 billion, or 12.15% of the market's
turnover. There were 724 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.62 billion and HK$2.46 billion, or 7.47%
and 7.01% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 12.08%
and 16.04% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.9 billion and HK$1.59 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.41% and 4.54% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.04% and 49.94% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$7.4, or 6.97%, to HK$113.5. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.38, or 1.54%,
to HK$25.08. MEITUAN-W rose HK$5.3, or 4.38% to HK$126.2. BYD COMPANY jumped HK$3, or
2.49%, to HK$123.4.
