[ET Net News Agency, 14 July 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$210.36
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.13 billion, or 11.47% of the market's
turnover. There were 724 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and BYD COMPANY (01211) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$934.26 million and HK$901.64 million, or
3.87% and 3.74% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
13.46% and 52.78% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$853.12 million and HK$626.78
million of short sales, accounting for 3.53% and 2.6% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.84% and 7.61% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$1, or 0.95%, to HK$106.1. BYD COMPANY ended up HK$0.3, or 0.25%, to
HK$120.4. MEITUAN-W rose HK$0.9, or 0.75% to HK$120.9. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.08, or
0.32%, to HK$24.7.
