billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$35.4 billion, or 10.93% of the market's
turnover. There were 721 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.17 billion and HK$2.44 billion, or
8.94% and 6.89% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
21.64% and 29.34% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.8 billion and HK$1.67 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.1% and 4.72% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 10.47% and 25.09% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.6, or 0.68%, to HK$89.36. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.025, or
0.49%, to HK$5.15. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.1, or 0.41% to HK$24.62. PING AN jumped HK$1.2,
or 2.32%, to HK$52.85.
