[ET Net News Agency, 11 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$175.85
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.05 billion, or 9.69% of the market's
turnover. There were 688 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.4 billion and HK$894.7 million, or 8.2%
and 5.25% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 15.69%
and 12.04% of respective stock's turnover.
PING AN (02318) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$893.49 million and HK$854.26
million of short sales, accounting for 5.24% and 5.01% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.5% and 12.43% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.64, or 1.85%, to HK$90.4. BABA-W ended up HK$3.5, or 3.39%, to
HK$106.7. PING AN rose HK$2.9, or 5.61% to HK$54.55. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.46, or
1.88%, to HK$24.98.
