[ET Net News Agency, 2 June 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$145.25
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.8 billion, or 17.77% of the market's
turnover. There were 715 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.44 billion and HK$1.34 billion, or 5.59%
and 5.18% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 17.53%
and 14.5% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.3 billion and HK$1.03
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.05% and 3.98% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.34% and 32.9% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$0.7, or 0.61%, to HK$113.2. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.8, or 0.92%,
to HK$86.04. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.1, or 0.42% to HK$23.48. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.05, or 0.99%, to HK$5.025.
