[ET Net News Agency, 30 May 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$118.88
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.86 billion, or 15.02% of the market's
turnover. There were 663 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.6 billion and HK$1.11 billion, or 14.59%
and 6.2% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 56.55%
and 14.41% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$888.12 million and HK$849.05
million of short sales, accounting for 4.97% and 4.75% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.19% and 32.2% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.56, or 1.77%, to HK$86.58. BABA-W ended down HK$5.1, or
4.32%, to HK$113. MEITUAN-W fell HK$2.1, or 1.5% to HK$138. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.13, or 2.5%, to HK$5.065.
