[ET Net News Agency, 29 May 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$226.86
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.32 billion, or 15.13% of the market's
turnover. There were 719 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.09 billion and HK$2.15 billion, or
8.99% and 6.27% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
20.34% and 56.97% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$2.06 billion and HK$1.64
billion of short sales, accounting for 6% and 4.78% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 33.3% and 16.23% of respective stock's
turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed up HK$8.7, or 6.62%, to HK$140.1. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.13, or
2.57%, to HK$5.195. HSCEI ETF rose HK$1.24, or 1.43% to HK$88.14. TRACKER FUND jumped
HK$0.3, or 1.27%, to HK$23.86.
