[ET Net News Agency, 29 May 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$110.92
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.81 billion, or 14.26% of the market's
turnover. There were 675 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.67 billion and HK$1.22 billion, or
10.58% and 7.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
60.28% and 20.86% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$966.75 million and HK$700.42
million of short sales, accounting for 6.11% and 4.43% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 37.75% and 15.46% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.09, or 1.78%, to HK$5.155. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$6.5, or
4.95%, to HK$137.9. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.72, or 0.83% to HK$87.62. TRACKER FUND jumped
HK$0.16, or 0.68%, to HK$23.72.
