There were 799 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.25 billion and HK$1.8 billion, or 17.82% and 9.85% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 49.22% and 36.11% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.05 billion and HK$932.46 million of short sales, accounting for 5.75% and 5.11% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 42.67% and 17.61% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.78, or 0.91%, to HK$85.1. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.22, or 0.85%, to HK$25.52. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.044, or 1.01% to HK$4.31. BABA-W declined by HK$3.3, or 2.87%, to HK$111.5.
