[ET Net News Agency, 28 May 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$195.2 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$29.55 billion, or 15.14% of the market's turnover. There were 827 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.28 billion and HK$2.17 billion, or 11.11% and 7.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 33.08% and 41.52% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347) registered HK$1.96 billion and HK$1.55 billion of short sales, accounting for 6.64% and 5.24% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 39.78% and 20.95% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.54, or 2.11%, to HK$25.02. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.94, or 2.23%, to HK$85. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.072, or 1.5% to HK$4.73. HUA HONG SEMI jumped HK$16.9, or 11.09%, to HK$169.3.
