[ET Net News Agency, 28 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$210.83 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.96 billion, or 16.58% of the
market's turnover. There were 720 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.55 billion and HK$4.09
billion, or 13.01% and 11.71% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 23.51% and 24.44% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$3 billion and HK$2.71 billion
of short sales, accounting for 8.58% and 7.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 55.84% and 27.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$12, or 10.32%, to HK$104.3. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.18, or
0.7%, to HK$25.52. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.06, or 1.07% to HK$5.535. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.94, or 1.02%, to HK$91.36.
