[ET Net News Agency, 27 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$161.93 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$23.19 billion, or 14.32% of the
market's turnover. There were 729 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.14 billion and HK$1.69
billion, or 9.23% and 7.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 38.78% and 41.33% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.33 billion and HK$1.17 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.74% and 5.04% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 28.9% and 19.78% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.06, or 0.23%, to HK$26.08. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.04, or
0.7%, to HK$5.715. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.22, or 0.24% to HK$93.72. BABA-W jumped HK$1.9, or
1.57%, to HK$123.2.
