[ET Net News Agency, 15 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$144
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.07 billion, or 10.47% of the market's
turnover. There were 695 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.29 billion and HK$837.48 million, or
8.59% and 5.56% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
16.14% and 18.21% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY (01211) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$701.42 million and HK$632.69
million of short sales, accounting for 4.65% and 4.2% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 50.59% and 10.51% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.04, or 0.16%, to HK$24.74. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$1.9, or
1.57%, to HK$122.8. BYD COMPANY 0flat to HK$120.4. BABA-W jumped HK$1.8, or 1.7%, to
HK$107.9.
