[ET Net News Agency, 26 May 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$223.52
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.61 billion, or 19.51% of the market's
turnover. There were 711 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$9.4 billion and HK$4 billion, or 21.56%
and 9.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 61.92%
and 26.51% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$3.71 billion and HK$2.16 billion
of short sales, accounting for 8.51% and 4.96% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 29.87% and 19.59% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.46, or 1.65%, to HK$86.88. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.3, or
1.26%, to HK$23.52. MEITUAN-W fell HK$7.5, or 5.48% to HK$129.4. BYD COMPANY declined by
HK$40, or 8.6%, to HK$425.2.
