[ET Net News Agency, 27 May 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$170.15 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.53 billion, or 14.41% of the market's turnover. There were 792 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and SMIC (00981) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.54 billion and HK$1.49 billion, or 6.29% and 6.09% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 22.99% and 15.01% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.35 billion and HK$1.29 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.5% and 5.28% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 11.53% and 28.94% of respective stock's turnover.
