[ET Net News Agency, 18 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$136.05
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.85 billion, or 11.65% of the market's
turnover. There were 699 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.8 billion and HK$1.42 billion, or
11.33% and 8.93% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
26.47% and 47.21% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$713.1 million and HK$524.48 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.5% and 3.31% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.25% and 15.84% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.58, or 0.64%, to HK$91.34. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.045, or
0.84%, to HK$5.4. BABA-W rose HK$2.5, or 2.22% to HK$115. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$1.7, or
1.35%, to HK$127.2.
